Woman’s Life is preparing for its annual Bags of Love luncheon and auction. We host a lunch and have an auction of handbags and theme bags (some past themes include: picnic, spa, road trip, wine, “shag” ????). Auction proceeds buy bags/backpacks that are donated to CPS (Child Protective Services) and are given to children as they are removed from their homes so they don’t have to carry their only possessions around in a trash bag. The Bags of Love are distributed to children in Grant and Blackford counties. Join us and support this important project! ????
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We are collecting donations of new or gently used bags for the auction – Thirty-One, Vera Bradley, etc. Time to do some Spring cleaning in your closet and give those neglected bags new life!
We are selling tickets for the auction as well, $15 each, on Saturday May 12, 11:00am at the Thompson-Ray House in Gas City.
You’ll have a tasty lunch, the opportunity to see this beautifully restored local landmark, participate in both the live and silent auctions, have a great time with friends, and give the gift of comfort to a child during a time of stress and uncertainty.
