If you love fishing, the DNR is stocking several bodies of water with catfish this week. More than 130 public fishing areas throughout Indiana will be stocked with around 67-thousand channel catfish. These lake and reservoir stockings occur annually or every other year, depending on the number of catfish produced at state hatcheries and the requests from DNR fisheries management staff. The catfish stocked will be 8-10 inches in length with some in the 12-14-inch size range.
