Over the weekend Grant County saw a surge in COVID-19 cases, many of which were linked to one long-term care facility.
Now on Monday morning, that outbreak has increased even further, according to Grant County Public Health Nurse Amber Turner. There are now 77 positive cases, with four deaths.
According to the Chronicle-Tribune, at least 23 residents and 17 staff members at Colonial Oaks Health and Rehabilitation Center have tested positive for the virus as of Sunday. At least two of those residents have died.
Colonial Oaks says it has tested all residents in the facility and is awaiting those results.
Across the state, 11,210 Hoosiers have tested positive as of Sunday morning. 562 Hoosiers have died, with more than 61,000 tests conducted.
