If you’re a parent, you understand the challenge; finding the best way to soothe your little one through the terrors of teething… the gnawing, the drooling, the crankiness. And for my little one, it’s only the beginning. Though still in the early stages of teething, the fussiness and frustration from Baby has this new mom searching for relief of the discomfort.
Recently, I bought a few new teethers to try from Walmart. They’re Nuby brand and come in a package of three, each one designed to help with teething throughout different stages. So far, Little One seems to like the stage one teether, which has silicone bristles attached to a handle to make it easy to grip and gnaw. But, eventually, Little One becomes frustrated with the teether, and it doesn’t seem to be enough. I’ve also tried the Nuby all natural teething gel, but the gel only lasts for about 15 minutes.
There are so many options out there, teething gels, mittens, teethers, over-the-counter medicines, teething toys, and the list goes on. Like all moms, I just want to find the best solution to the problem to make baby feel better while those tiny teeth continue to find their way out.
I have to say, this has been the start of one of my first big challenges on my journey through motherhood…especially when searching for a way to ease his discomfort in the middle of the night.
Looks like I will continue to find what works best for Baby.
But that’s parenthood, isn’t it?…a continuous series of trial and error!
I’ll keep you posted on how things go!
