A Marion man is being treated for multiple stab wounds at a Fort Wayne hospital following an incident at a local motel early Sunday morning.
Police say they were called to Marion General Hospital where 27-year old Chandell Davis was being treated for several stab wounds. Davis was uncooperative with officers and was later transferred to a Fort Wayne hospital for treatment.
Police later were told by a witness that Davis had been stabbed during a fight outside the Hart Motel. Police found blood on the sidewalk and learned that Davis and another man had been involved in a fight when Davis was stabbed from behind by a woman. The second man was also treated for a minor stab wound.
Investigators say they have several stories that conflict with one another and their investigation continues. No arrests have yet been made in the case.
